Porto win Portuguese league title
FC Porto celebrated their 26th Portuguese league title triumph after a 2-0 win over Maritimo.
After beating Maritimo 2-0 Saturday thanks to two penalties from Brazilian star Hulk, their closest rivals Benfica could only draw 2-2 at Rio Ave Sunday.
That left Porto with a six-point lead with two games left but assured the title due to their better head-to-head record over their Lisbon rivals.
